Mr. Peabody sighed as he had to once again search for his son. Only 3 days. Mr. Peabody had only had his son for 3 days, and already, he knew how Sherman was when it came to baths. The canine father had tried to get the infant in the bathtub all morning, but, every time he went to bathe his son, the boy would hop out and go hide somewhere. How the boy managed to travel so fast was beyond Peabody, however.

Mr. Peabody finally found the boy under his crib. “There you are.” Peabody muttered, pulling the boy out from under there before he could crawl away once more. Just as Peabody was heading to the bathtub, the phone rang. He was confused, he grabbed a towel as he headed to the phone, and picked it up, pressing the phone in between his ear and his shoulder as he wrapped a small towel around Sherman. “Hello?”

Hello, Mr. Peabody.

Mr. Peabody blinked as it came back to him. The female voice on the other end was a woman by the name of Mrs. Cherrywood—one of his co-workers. He remembered that he had requested to reschedule any possible work dates, since he had an infant to take care of and didn’t want to leave Sherman with a nanny too often.
“Oh, hey.” He finally answered, sitting on his couch as he held his fidgeting boy in his other arm, “Glad you called.”

Yes, well, it’s better to get it done now then later.

“Yup.” Mr. Peabody said, ignoring the fact that Sherman started gently tugging on his ear.

Okay then, so, Sunday and Monday?

“Hmm,” Mr. Peabody pondered, before finally saying “No; too early in the week, I think.”

Alright then, Tuesday?

“I think Tuesday would be go—Ahh!” Mr. Peabody yelped as Sherman tugged on his ear a bit harder, almost making Peabody let go of the phone.

Er, Mr. Peabody? Is everything ok?

“Ahh—yes, Mrs. Cherrywood, just—“ he lowered the phone as he gently pushed Sherman, trying to separate the infant from his ear, “Sherman, I’m trying to talk to someone, could you not?” When the boy finally let go, Mr. Peabody put the phone back up to his ear. “As I was saying, Tuesdays are fine. I don’t think Wednesdays would be acceptable, however. Don’t wanna be stuck working two days in a row.”

Ok. What about Thursday or Friday?

“Thursday could be a good day, so I’ll go with—“ Mr. Peabody paused after he let out a surprised yelp, glancing over at Sherman, seeing that he had resorted to chewing on his ear now. “Give me a minute, Mrs. Cherrywood, having…a few baby problems.” Mr. Peabody put down the phone as he tried once more to pry the baby from his ear. When the boy didn’t let go, Mr. Peabody sighed, “Of all the times you could possibly start teething…” Peabody shook his head as he brought the phone up to his ear again. “Ok, so, Tuesday and Thursday.”

I’m assuming you’ll want Saturday then?

“Yup, yes, Saturday is—“ Mr. Peabody growled in frustration a bit as Sherman managed to wriggle out of his arms, taking the canine’s ear with him. Still holding the phone up to his ear, Peabody asked through clenched teeth “Are we done yet?”

Well, y-yes, we are--

“Good. I apologize for this dearly Mrs. Cherrywood.” Without saying another word, Mr. Peabody quickly hung up, then just simply glared at the boy that was chewing on his ear. After a few moments, Peabody finally just laid down on the couch. The infant looked at his father, in which, Mr. Peabody looked back. Peabody sighed a little, “Oh Sherman, what am I going to do with you?”
As if to answer, Sherman finally let go of his adoptive father’s ear, and, with a smile on his face, crawled over a bit, then grabbed his father’s wet nose. It wasn’t a rough tug, just a simple touch. When the infant cooed happily, Mr. Peabody smiled. He sat up; the infant simply just let his tiny hands slide off of the dog’s nose as he did so. Mr. Peabody took Sherman, then simply said “How about we give you that bath, now?”
((Another fanfic! This time, a Peabody and baby!Sherman one. Now, uh...this one isn't as good as I thought it would be. It's another idea I had for a while, but...yeah. Anyways, if it's crappy-- sorry, just-- sorry.

However, I am currently making a sequel to 'Car Accident' so if this isn't good, don't worry, a new one's coming up.))
